Kids learn to cook and build confidence in the kitchen and in themselves. Each class has a different lesson and give the kids a hands-on cooking experience and a delicious treat to bring home to share with family.
Individual classes will be instructed by different guest chefs. Drop-in students are welcome if space is available with payment due at the time of reservation.
Each of the 4 classes in a series will combine one learning goal from each category, working around a central menu. We'll introduce new concepts in each class and also continue practicing those introduced in previous classes. The entire series is designed to give kitchen beginners a strong understanding of, a great deal of comfort with, and a great joy in cooking. Includes recipes, a snack and extra tastes to take home. TriniSoul classes combine fun, cooking and eating.
Much more than just stirring, our emphasis is on skills, independence and nutrition with a goal of involving kids in the family food making process. Recipes are designed so that the kids can practice age-appropriate skills. In each class the children prepare one or two recipes and eat what they have made.We make extra tastes to go home.
TriniSoul classes will teach kids to identify foods, measure ingredients and cook simple recipes, such as bread, cookies and fun snacks. The instructor/chef begins the program with a kitchen tour and safety lesson. The aspiring kid chefs then learn the art of recipe preparation, baking techniques and pastry presentation, all with hands-on instruction.
